We get asked a lot of questions on how the kitchen design process works. So we have put together a quick snapshot of how it works, and what to expect at each stage.
Kitchen Design Process
First of all we will start by coming round to your home to measure the space or if you have plans we can start with a consultation in one of our showrooms. This first appointment will take around 30 minutes to 1 hour and this will include getting initial measurements. Some initial ideas about what you have in mind and gathering any information on how you would like to use the space etc. At this stage we can give you a rough price based on these choices
Second Design consultation, this is a more in-depth consultation at one of our design studios where we can show you what we have to offer including door styles, colours & storage options etc. Then presenting and amending the initial designs, picking appliances, worktops & handles. With this information we can then get you a full itemised quotation and send you your plan/renders for you to look through at home.
Survey
Once you are happy with the design and quotation we would then require a deposit to secure the price. From here we will book in for a full survey of the kitchen area. Once we are happy with the measurements we will update the CAD drawing to suit. If any measurements have changed from the first initial home visit or the plans provided to us. Once this is updated we will need you to come back in to the showroom to finalise the finer details. We can get to the exciting part, ordering your kitchen
You will now have a start date and the exciting wait will nearly be over. We will be in communication with you for the whole project for any questions that may arise. The lead time for a fully paint to order kitchen is a minimum of 8 weeks from date of order.
Schedule of works & Kitchen delivery
Preparation for the kitchen will now start depending on how much work needs carrying out and you will have a schedule of works.
Kitchen installation will start the day after the kitchen is delivered provided the space is ready. This process can take anywhere from 2-5 weeks depending on the design of your kitchen.
The final step is to move back in unpack your things and style your beautiful New kitchen.
