Choosing your Splashbacks

Splashbacks are a way to introduce, texture, pattern and colour to your kitchen, there’s a splashback to fulfil every style.

Kitchen splashbacks were originally all about protecting the walls. However nowadays, they can contribute aesthetically as well as provide practical benefits. You should consider a few things when hoosing the right one for you and your kitchen, like which material, cost, size of the space etc.

Mirrored Splashback

You can double the impact making a small kitchen feel larger or just brighten any space. You can choose from plain mirror, antique finishes or coloured glass. For example the before and afters of this kitchen show how you can brighten up the room whilst also making the space look larger.

Glass Splashback

This can be a cost effective way to really make your kitchen come in to its own, turn a boring backdrop in to a bold statement by incorporating on trend colours. Or you can stay more neutral the list of colours is endless.

Corian

Mix it up with Corian splashbacks which can be made textured as pictured below. Corian comes as one piece so if you are a keen cook this is easy clean. Corian can also come in one full piece with no joins as below.

Same as worktop

Using the same material for the worktop and splashback looks sleek and contemporary. It is worth keeping in mind that this cannot be done with every worktop but most solid surfaces can be used. Pictured here is the Dekton in Milar teamed with copper accessories give an industrial look.

Tiles

With tiles you can Experiment with patterns, colours or more subtle traditional styles. If you are designing a kitchen and would like to add a pattern to create interest but doesn’t overwhelm the space you may be better opting for muted shades for a unique but not to busy splashback

We have a large selection of splashbacks on display at both of our showrooms pop in and have a look.
